HVAC Concept and New BAS

Location:

Network 222 Building (Madison, Wisconsin)

We became involved in this building after the single large tenant occupying the building moved out. The Owner wanted to improve comfort and reduce the building energy usage to make it more attractive to future tenants. We designed the replacement of the chillers, along with a free cooling heat exchanger. A new building automation system was installed to provide better control and the ability to change control vendors at a later date if that became necessary. Several different HVAC concepts were developed as models for a tenant buildout. As the building became occupied with new tenants, we reviewed the designs to make sure they were utilizing the systems properly and providing comfort to the tenants. We are still involved with this active Owner by reviewing trends and discussing ideas for improvements in both energy usage and comfort.
