Ice Storage Control Logic

Location:

School District 214 (Chicago, Illinois)

The Owner felt the existing control logic in seven of their high schools were not making optimal use of the ice storage system in these buildings. We worked closely with the Owner and the BAS vendor to define a predictive method of melting ice or operating the chiller plant throughout the day. After a few months of tweaking set points by the Owner and review of trend logs by Pearson Engineering, all parties involved were extremely happy with the results.
