Our team begins projects with onsite investigations. We embrace a "boots on the ground" approach to understand our clients' operations. Only then do we move forward with a design. And after the equipment is installed, we make sure it works as intended. Our approach allows us to effectively communicate with both leadership and operations staff to recommend appropriate solutions. We’ve been transforming indoor environments since 1986 when Dick Pearson established the firm. Current President Brian Basken continues that inventive spirit. He developed an innovative, easy-to-implement energy management tool that reduces energy use without significant capital investment. It often results in substantial energy savings. Through our diverse design services, we assist clients with new and existing buildings to develop HVAC systems for their facility. Clients value our ability to discover the causes of complex problems and develop solutions – often using the latest technology. We’re proud of our proven record of improving indoor comfort and increasing energy savings.
Pearson Engineering personnel hold professional engineering licenses in many states throughout the country. We routinely utilize Licensure by Comity to achieve license status in additional states to meet our clients’ needs.
We believe in giving back to communities to improve their quality of life. We offer financial support to many groups including the following:
At the industry level, we contribute to a research program led by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers). We’re also a Gold Sponsor for the local IFMA Chapter (International Association of Facility Managers).
Our employees also donate time to local organizations. Jason Beren served as president of the Rotary Club of Madison, one of the 10 largest clubs in the world. Brian Basken serves on the board of the Madison Rotary Foundation.
Since 2006, Jason has helped organize and train the swim safety volunteers for the Ironman Wisconsin Triathlon.
